Course on The Pangolin - On the Edge of Survival (2022)
"I was approached by e-learning developer, Joy Rosario, for collaborating with her on a course for education and awareness of the plight of pangolins – the little known and most poached mammal on earth. It is a complex subject that involves the demand for pangolin scales as an ingredient in Chinese Traditional Medicine with a completely unsustainable and full scale harvest of these animals that takes place in the African ranges of this species, where the supply is plentiful and poverty is a major driver. It is a complex subject that Joy very brilliantly untangled over a few months of discussion and interaction that was intelligent and thoughtful. Joy was deeply invested in the process, working with the raw material of a complicated rubic’s cube, that is a very real dilemma for a species that has been on the planet for more than 80 million years.
She delivered an outstanding product that is a valuable resource for our organisation and e-learners, and one that we are proud to be associated with".

Course on Human Ethics and Animal Rights
“The course introduces some fundamental concepts in animal rights and welfare. Simple to follow and presenting the bare facts in an appealing manner, this course will help everyone to understand the basic facts surrounding our use of animals in today’s society. The course includes a wealth of background resources and exercises to introduce the topic”.
Professor Clive Phillips | Centre for Animal Welfare and Ethics, School of Veterinary Science, University of Queensland, Australia
“I think this course is an excellent achievement, and that students will benefit immensely from engaging with it. Apart from the content, which ‘hits’ home without being preachy (and thereby potentially off-putting to the unconverted)., I am taken with the ease of navigation. For me as a bit of a technophobe, this has been an especially pleasant experience. Again, well done, you deserve all the kudo you will no doubt get for putting together this inspirational and comprehensive course”.

"An understanding of animals as sentient beings with interests of their own has been increasingly a target of research. The use of animals for human purposes and the suffering humans are causing them is of great concern worldwide. Their exploitation is undeniably cruel and unsustainable from many points of view. Animal Law is a new field of law striving to clarify the legal aspects of the protection of animals, including the view of animals as holders of rights. Congratulations to all involved at Animal Voice Academy for making the course Human Ethics and Animal Rights a reality. It is making history for all animals. Giving them rights does not take anything away from humans. On the contrary."

Instructor-Led Training Course on Digitising the School Library
It is a pleasure for me to comment on the work ethic, skills and high calibre of Joy Rosario. Joy was commissioned by SchoolNet SA to conceptualise and author a course that would be utilised by officials in the province responsible to Education Library and information and Technology Services. (ELITS). As the Executive Director of SchoolNet SA, I have known Joy as a colleague in the education ministry, both national and provincial and as a SchoolNet Online Mentor since the late 1990’s.
Joy has considerable existing knowledge in the area of media and knowledge management and particularly in the area in Education Library and Information Technology Services and therefore the course. School Libraries in the Digital Age contains a wealth of appropriate information, knowledge and subject expertise in order for school libraries to establish digital libraries and furthermore, for provincial officials to effectively support schools in doing so.

Microlearning course on Customer Satisfaction
"I worked with Joy when she project-managed the establishment of Thutong, the Department of Education's online education portal. The portal plays a pivotal role in providing a wide range of support to curriculum and professional support to all teachers in South Africa. the work done by Joy in establishing, populating and maintaining the portal was quite exceptional. I have also worked with Joy in the instructional design and development of online, skills-based learning programmes. Joy has impressed me with her attention to detail, her conceptual capabilities and her understanding of how real learning takes place. I have the highest regard for and highly commend her varied skills and talents and for the significant contribution she has made in the field of mediated and online learning"
